This work package focuses on ethical, legal, and societal issues (ELSI) relating to the GoE project. The work package has three broad objectives: First, it supports the consortium partners in addressing the key ethical and legal compliance obligations when pursuing the GoE demonstrator use cases. Second, the Work Package lays the groundwork to enable lawful inclusion, retention, and secondary use of GoE data collections in the 1+MG ecosystem. Third, it seeks to investigate overarching ELSI around the project, and articulate long-term recommendations to inform the GoE data governance in the years ahead
The work is divided into 5 tasks:
- Compliance of activities in the GoE consortium
- Compliance of future secondary uses of GoE data collections
- Legal issues
- Alignment within and beyond the GoE consortium
- Societal implications of intended data use within and beyond the GoE consortium
