The work package 2 deals with the selection of the samples that will be included in the Genome of Europe dataset. The WP will define the inclusion criteria of samples to achieve equitable representation of European citizens and set up a sampling monitoring system. It will coordinate sample distribution to sequencing centers following a defined protocol and run periodic proficiency testing schemes to assure the highest possible level of quality of the sequencing data and results. Finally, there will be a WGS technology assessment for new technologies for their viability for GoE.
